Former Florence 1 Schools Student is Fulbright Scholar
"Today, I am feeling like the happiest principal ever! This former student has made me so proud. She unfortunately lost her very supportive mom at a young age, but remained focused on her goals in life.
I am flowing with tears of happiness for Hillary! This is just perfect for Teacher Appreciation Week! "- Sharon Dixon, Principal, North Vista Elementary.
Hillary McLaurin is a 2015 graduate of Wilson High School. She was enrolled in one of the first Montessori classes at North Vista Elementary, and she completed the International Baccalaureate program at Wilson. She is the granddaughter of Florence 1 Schools board member, John Galloway. Her story appears in This Week with permission from the College of Charleston.
