NEW - Libraries Connect Ohio Resources
Together with OPLIN, OhioLINK, and the State Library of Ohio, INFOhio provides quality databases and
resources at no cost to Ohio schools. This year the following resources have been added:
- ChiltonLibrary - Digitized collection of manuals on automotive service and repair. For grades 9-12.
- Small Business Reference Center - Full text for many small business periodicals, reference books, videos, industry information, state-specific demographic data, and details on how to create business plans. For grades 10-12.
- Hobbies & Crafts Reference Center - Full-text magazines, reference books, recipes, hobby profiles, and videos with “how-to” instructions and creative ideas. For grades 6-12.
- Home Improvement Reference Center - Full-text magazines and trade publications, reference books, images, and videos with “how-to” information. For grades 9-12.
- Transparent Language Online - Web-based language learning platform with more than 100 languages. For grades 4-12.
- Very Short Introductions - Full-text academic introductions and historical overviews. For grades 11-12.
- Oxford Research Encyclopedias - Full-text academic encyclopedia articles from subject-based encyclopedias. For grades 11-12.
GO! Ask, Act, Achieve
Have you seen the updated GO! Ask, Act, Achieve?
Infohio is pleased to announce an updated and revised version of GO! Ask, Act, Achieve. This online tool leads students in grades 4-10 through the inquiry process by providing digital tools, resources, and strategies to help them from the get-go: develop and ask questions; research, synthesize, and act to find the answers; and finally, achieve success by presenting their findings and evaluating what and how they learned. Updates to the tool include:
- Interactive PDFs converted to Google Docs
- Updated project creation tools, focusing on free resources such as Adobe Spark and Canva
- A variety of INFOhio’s digital content in each module, including Book Nook
- Additional modules to scaffold student learning

This INFOhio video tutorial will show you how to get started using Educator Tools. Finding professionally-evaluated, standards-aligned, free online resources just got easier for Ohio teachers. Getting Started with INFOhio and G Suite
- STEP 1. Sign in to your Google account so that you can readily access G Suite for Education tools that include Gmail, Classroom, Drive, Docs, and more.
- STEP 2. Go to INFOhio (www.infohio.org) and find content to use. Many of the resources will help you easily share content with students.
- STEP 3. ISearch, World Book, Science Online, and EBSCO all offer easy steps to integrating digital content into G Suite.
- INFOhioandGSuite Guide - This guide shows how to create Google classroom assignments or announcements using digital content from INFOhio.
Tech Skills for Online Testing
Ohio schools are moving toward online assessments for their students which include interactive assessment items. These interactive assessment items have been enhanced by technology and in order for students to successfully complete these online assessments, they will need to be able to perform many technology tasks including: click/tap, scroll, plot points, drag/drop, type with text editor, select object, select text, use video player, select area, drag/slide, deselect, highlight, use ruler, use calculator, use protractor
