Wolf Creek Weekly
Building Pathways To Success
From The Principal's Desk
Greetings! Thanks for a great week!
Testing continues this week for 5th graders and make ups for any missed test sessions. Thanks for your patience and adhering to the tightly held testing environment.
Testing window : Grades 3rd - 5th April 13th -25th
The building will be in testing mode the entire testing window. There will not be access to classrooms for visitors during the testing window. Students will test on various days for various subject areas. Make up and small group testing sessions happen at various times the entire week throughout the building. The schedule is specific to grade levels. Please support us by adhering to this expectation.
4/24 5th grade Science
4/25 5th grade Social Studies
WE know the students will ROCK the TEST!
Thanks for your continued support.
Let's go wolves!

Safety First!
Thanks for your support! The last few days of drop off has been more seamless and traffic is continuing to flow. Thanks for working with us to ensure safety for the students.
We still need your patience and support as we execute the morning drop off process. The cafeteria doors close at 7:25 AM each morning. Breakfast ends at that time. Students are tardy at 7:41 AM. Parents are asked to sign their children in and get a tardy pass prior to reporting to class.
Please help us by using the car rider loop in the front of the building for all student drop-offs in the mornings. The car rider loop moves fast but it does require some wait time and patience. This is the safest area for student drop offs. We have assigned staff to support students as they get out of cars. The bus ramp in the back is reserved for buses only. If parents are using the parking lot near the bus ramp area for parking, they are asked to park their vehicles and escort their child into the building. We have seen a rise in the number of students being dropped off and running across the bus ramp to enter the building. This is a safety concern. Remember, the doors open at 7:10 AM for student arrival. All parents are asked to sign in at the front office before moving through the building. Thanks in advance for your support. If we have parents that can volunteer in the bus ramp area, please let us know. We could use the extra hands and eyes to ensure safety for the students.
Thanks for your support

Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week: May 1st - 5th, 2017
Parents,
May kicks off a week of celebrating our teachers and staff. They have been awesome and we want to shower them with love and tokens of appreciation. Please join us in recognizing our teachers and staff for their dedication and hard work this year. Below are a few suggestions.
Monday, May 1st - You are the "Apple of my eye!" Send an apple gift to your child's teacher. Ex: Fruit, teacher token, classroom decoration, etc.
Tuesday, May 2nd - Thanks for helping my child bloom! Send a flower to your child's teacher to say thanks. ( Be creative - hand made or real flowers) We also want to recognize our specialist and support teachers on this day. Send an extra bloom for one of your child's special area teachers EX: Art, Music, PE, TAG, EIP, METI, teachers etc.) Ask your child which specials class they have on this day.
Wednesday, May 3rd - Your lessons are just enough to "quench" my thirst! Send a morning juice treat for your child's teacher! Teachers will enjoy a special breakfast sponsored by the PTA.
Thursday, May 4th - Pamper Me Please! Send a gift that will shower your child's teacher with love and pampering! Ex: hand lotion, massage gifts, scented candles,
Friday, May 5th - As we celebrate our School's Dedication Day, dedicate this year to your child's teacher for their hard work and dedication with a special hand written note or card from you and your child. You may attach the note to something special or decorate it in a special way.
Thanks for joining us in celebrating a great staff. Thanks for all you do!
