Orangutans

Classification
An orangutan is the largest arboreal mammal in the world. They live in the (rapidly disappearing ) rainforests of Borneo. There are two different species of orangutan, the Borneo orangutan ( Pongo Abelii ) and the Sumatran orangutan ( Pongo Pygmaeus).
Appearence
Orangutans are large orange primates. Male Orangutans can reach a height of 1.5 metres tall and weigh up to 120 kilograms. Females are usually 1 metre tall and weigh around 45 kilograms. The apes have large human-like hands that help when working. The male arm span can reach a length of 2 metres. That's taller than their own body!
