3TV Silver Apple Award

Nominate an outstanding teacher in the Avondale Elementary School District to receive this prestigious award. Winning teachers will be featured on 3TV and will receive a $1,000 prize! Nominations will be accepted through March 10, 2023.

Kindness Rocks At Centerra Mirage STEM Academy

Centerra Mirage STEM Academy was awarded $2,000 to help fund "Kindness Rocks," their school-wide rock painting event - which was given through a TangerKids grant. This event encourages positivity, inclusion and kindness throughout the school. Congratulations CMSA, we're so proud of you!

Desert Star's Future Scientists At Work

All hands are on deck daily at Desert Star’s new science lab! We are incredibly proud of the recently-added learning space, which opened this year for our students. In the first month of school, there have been countless experiences for students to dive further into their science curriculum.

Michael Anderson School Alumni Give Back To Their Community

Michael Anderson alumni stopped by their former school to give thanks to their former teachers for providing them with a great high school preparation. It is amazing to see how our students grow up to make a positive impact in our community. This is just the beginning of your future without limits.

Copper Trails Has LifeHacks

Students at Copper Trails practice bandaging a wound on their classmates. Real life skills prepare our students to handle situations in and out of the classroom. LifeHacks class has been a tremendous success and a favorite on campus for years. Aside from learning first aid techniques, students also learn how to apply to jobs and even how to tie a tie!

New At Desert Star: Project S.T.I.N.G.

Desert Star School has introduced a new program at their preschool through 8th grade campus, called Project S.T.I.N.G.

Through this program, students of all grade levels have the opportunity to participate in the new free, after-school program that is specifically focused and created for academic enrichment, youth development and family engagement.
