Review

Basme, the son of an actress and a painter, experiences the life in Denmark in 1940. !940 was when there was a war in Denmark with the Germans. Basme first noticed the germans when one day after abig party in the theatre was a loud constant sound. He took a look outside and noticed all these planes flying in the air. An old man told him that they were the bad guys hurting them for no reason. As far as Basme knew, they were all good doing nothing wrong and getting punished for it. He is faced with all sorts of decisions in the book that could be life threatening.

Hitler's canary
was a long drawn out book. The most excting thing that I found interesting in this book was when all the planes were flying around the theatre and he couldn't find his mom. This was at the beginning of the book. Other than that part of the book, it was pretty long and boring. I don't like books like that because it does not get to the point.
