Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!
However, as a small token of our appreciation we will have treats and snacks in the lounge all week. Friday there will also be a hot dog bar for lunch, so bring your appetite.
6th grade transition
Also, 7th grade teachers, be on the lookout for a scheduling meeting sometime this week during NE. I will want to talk with the 7th graders about the end of the school year, next year, and begin getting their schedule sheets filled out.
Staff Updates
Our open math position is actually already closed! We will be welcoming back Janelle Foster to the middle school from Wayne Center. I am very excited to have her experience, work ethic, and passion back at the building.
And I am excited to announce we will be hiring an additional full time music teacher for next school year. I will be offering the position to someone tomorrow morning. This brings the possibility of additional electives such as Drama and Intro to Guitar. This person is replacing our open music position from Jim retiring.
Athletics
ENMS Athletics!
This last week and the upcoming weeks have been outstanding for our student athletes! Our sports teams continue to excel in all areas! Our girls track has been phenomenal! This last Wednesday proved to show the continued success as the girls easily walked away with a victory over Dekalb and New Haven. We are still waiting for scores for today’s Invitational at NH, but they are picked to be towards the top. Our boys are extremely competitive and were just behind Dekalb in Wednesday’s meet. We have an exciting week as track will be wrapping up on Saturday, but not before hitting the road for 2 more meetings. Good Luck to both the boys and girls as they head to:
Monday – Track at Westview with Dekalb starting at 4:45.
Wednesday – Track at Summitt with MC starting at 4:45 or as soon as they can get started
Saturday – Track at NHMLC NEW HAVEN for a 10 am start time.
Soccer has been non stop the last couple weeks and this week will be no different with 3 games in the week. The girls prove to show improvement in all positions. The defense has held strong with low scoring games vs Summitt and Maple Creek. The boys are extending their winning season as they took a victory over Summitt 4-1 and Indian Springs 6-1. Soccer will continue to play solid team work as they play:
Monday – Home vs. Norwell 5:00 start
Wednesday – Home vs Maple Creek 5:00 start
Thursday – Home vs. Leo 5:00 start
Golf will also continue strong play this season as they host Fremont and Prairie Heights on Thursday.
Other activities for this week: Good Bye Dance is Friday May 6th from 6-8
May 9-12 – is Cheer try outs at ENMS from 3-4:45.
Good Luck to all the Knights in action this week!
