Principals Message:

Kia ora Whaanau,

Firstly, I would like to thank the community for the love and support that has been shown to the Watson family over the last two weeks. The family have blown away by the aroha our community has shown, and it has made a big difference to them having our support.

Yesterday we celebrated the first class going into the library, which is now open for use. This is very exciting for our school as we have been without a library for a very long time. Classes are being scheduled into lessons in the library, and we hope to be able to open it for lunch times next term. A huge thank you to the students and staff who have worked to put this together.

Matua Rima is starting his te reo classes back up on the 3rd of March at 7pm to 9pm. We are capping the class at 25 participants so that we do not require vaccination passes. Masks will need to be worn in class and we will ask you to scan in. Please email if you would like to register for the class. The class costs $5 a lesson.

Ngaa mihi,

Rebecca Bills

Dandelions and Dragonflies

The Childcare and Early Learning Centre on the school grounds has now been fully renovated. We’ve extended the operating hours and are now open Mon-Fri from 7:30am-5:30pm. We’ve also been through all the licencing requirements to now be able to provide spaces for babies for the first time, so we can cater from 3 month olds through to 5 year olds. We’ve also installed a Commercial Kitchen and hired a Qualified Chef to provide nutritious meals to children for the first time.
