Cultivating Community
Baker is Not Just a Building
"Baker Goes Remote" Book
The entire Baker Community is invited to participate in creating a digital book. Each person (student, teacher, parent, admin, staff) is welcome to add their own page to this book, with their own unique message. Some ideas include: 1) sending a message to your friends and teachers about missing them, 2) a message of thanks to our first responders, delivery people, grocery store clerks, medical personnel, etc.. 3) share a photo of your family at home, or upload/draw some art for inspiration. Some classrooms already have pages set up, so scroll through to find your page. If your page is not already set up, please feel free to add your own page. (Directions in Book). Any questions, contact Ms. Crawford.

Baker Virtual Lip Dub Video!
FAQ’s:
Q: This sounds fun - how do I participate?
A: Listen to the songs we are including. Select one that speaks to you, then select a line to sing. Just record a short video clip of you (or your household) singing that line!
Q: How should I record us singing our line?
A: Whatever is simplest for you. You can use your Chromebook, a phone, another laptop or desktop, an iPad or camera.
Q: What should I do with the video once I’m done?
A: Email the clip to bcrawford@bakerdemschool.org OR upload it HERE.
Q: Can I use a photo instead of a video?
A: Sure! Just send a photo of you and/or your household having fun!
Q: Can we videotape us dancing to the song?
A: Absolutely! Look happy! Show you are having fun!
Q: Why are you doing this?
A: To bring our community together and to have fun!
Q: What happens to all of this footage?
A: We will put it all together and share with you!
Q: Can I do more than one line from one song?
A: Of course! But... be aware that depending on how many people participate, we may need to use only 1-3 clips from each person. We’d like to give as many people as possible the opportunity to be a part of this project.
Q: I hear that Early Childhood might be doing one of Ms. Buehler's songs; is this right?
A: Yes! Remember "Hello, Hello" - your classes will be doing this song!
Q: Is this required? Do I have to do this if I’d rather not?
A: No, totally optional. This is an experiment; we’ve never done a virtual project quite like this, but to be successful, we need as many folks as possible participating! So, please consider joining in!
Q: Has Baker ever done a large scale video project before?
A: Yes, but it’s been a while! We’re long overdue. Check out these previous projects done by students:
