Messages from the Student Services Office
Early Dismissal Policy
EARLY DISMISSALS: A student requesting an early dismissal must have a letter signed by a parent/guardian containing a valid reason for the request. Students are encouraged to submit the request to the Student Services Office one (1) day prior to the requested early dismissal.
ALL Early Dismissal requests must be submitted in writing.
Dress Code Reminder
This is a friendly reminder that outerwear, hoodies, hats and other headwear are NOT permitted to be worn inside of the school building.
The heat is working in our building so there is no excuse for a student to be out of uniform.
Our school uniform consists of the blue banded PET polo shirts, blue PET hoodie, ALL black pants and black sneakers.
Items worn that are not consistent with our school uniform will be confiscated and a parent will have to retrieve the item from school.
SKI MASKS ARE PROHIBITED IN SCHOOL
Students are not permitted to wear ski masks (aka "shiestys") in the school building. These will be confiscated at the door. A student may not enter the building in a ski mask or wear one at any time in the school building.
Senior Discipline Grades
Seniors who are failing discipline will not be permitted to participate in any senior activities, including prom - No exceptions!
Seniors who continuously cut classes, are late to class or have other discipline issues will also not be permitted to participate in senior activities.
Please make smart choices so you don't miss out on the fun.
21st Century After School Program
21CCLC had our first Lights on Afterschool on the Parkway on Thursday October 26th. The event was incredible, we named six ambassadors for our after school program in Ramir Arnold (9th), Carlos Perez (10th), Zion Stukes (10th), Sarena Haksem (10th), Kitara Colbert (10th), and Brianna Williams (11th). The broadcasting club showed a video highlighting some of the clubs that were taking place during after school. I want to thank Mr. Elkin and D'Andre Teagle for putting it together. D'Andre is one of 21CCLC's CO-OP students for the school year and he has done an amazing job. The cheerleading team led by Jayla Legare closed out the event with an awesome routine.
We have new clubs starting in November led by outside partners:
- Prevention Meets Fashion: Wednesdays
- Yoga: Mondays and Wednesdays
- You Talk While I Listen: Wednesdays
- BB4K (Entrepreneurship and Financial Literacy): Thursdays
- Riss Jewels (jewelry making): Tuesday and Wednesdays
- You are YOUR HERO: Mondays
