Library Updates
The Library offers a Book Check Out service on Mondays. Students can request books through our Online Library Catalog or by filling out this Book Request Form. This service will be available every Monday for students who submit book requests by Fridays at 4pm. Please read the library newsletter for more information on this and other library events.
Technology Permissions Form
Asynchronous Mondays & Attendance
On Mondays, students do not have live classes to attend. Instead, they should work on homework, projects, and assessments as assigned by their teachers. Teachers have scheduled office hours for student support with their individual classes and students. If your child needs additional help, please encourage them to reach out to their teacher or counselor to set up an appointment.
In order to capture student attendance accurately, each student must open a Permission Click form that will be sent to their LCPS email account on Monday. We apologize for the challenges with the form last week; we have addressed them so that it will be more smooth this week. Student attendance will be reported based on their completion of the form. Thank you for helping us to capture your student’s attendance.
Yearbook Portraits
Students will be getting their portraits taken this year following social distancing protocols. Photos for students in grades 9-11 will be scheduled on September 28, October 5, and October 19 from 12-7 pm. A make-up and retake day has been scheduled for November 30th. All students will be required to sign up for an appointment slot on this website to have their portrait taken and receive their student ID.
Clinic Update
Even though we are in a virtual school environment, we are still collecting health forms for all students. Please email Nurse Alexis Kerr any action plans for your child, such as for allergies, asthma, seizures, medication administration, or diabetes management. All of the forms are available here in both English and Spanish. It's important to have the forms in advance so that we can transition smoothly to the hybrid model and provide for students' medical needs. We also share the information with the student's teachers so that they are aware of any health concerns. Please email all forms to: Alexis.kerr@lcps.org. Please do not drop off forms or medications at school at this time.
MAP Testing
LCPS is invested in helping students access rigorous instruction during the 2020-2021 school year; therefore, identifying students’ instructional readiness levels as early as possible is an essential requirement. Stone Bridge HS will be administering NWEA’s MAP Math Growth assessments to students in Algebra 1 and Geometry on Monday, September 28th.
We will be sending out much more detailed information to families and students affected. If you do not wish for your child to participate in this assessment, you have the option to opt out. You can view sample reports and find more information on the LCPS MAP website.
