CFES Travel Plan for Parents
Destination Excellence
Our Final Destination
I recognize that we have two more days before we close out this year but I wanted to thank you all for a great school year. Working together we have accomplished great things and have enjoyed every day that we have been able to spend with your children. As we say goodbye for summer , savor every minute you have with your children. Take time to make new memories, go on adventures, and just simply love on them. They grow up fast and you are their biggest role models and support team. For those of you moving or transitioning out of CFES, thank you for being part of our community and contributing to the special place it is.
Wishing you all a fabulous summer!
Your Proud Principal.

Important Information Regarding our Yearbooks!
From Jennifer Rivera ( Our Yearbook Volunteer)
Yearbook Update: Due to a factory print error the yearbooks will be arriving late. We will be sharing more information as Balfour, yearbook printer, updates us with a delivery date. We understand this is devastating for the students since signing each others yearbooks is one of the most exciting parts about receiving the book! To remedy that, Balfour has sent the autograph pages ahead of the yearbook and all students have these. These came with adhesive that will allow you to adhere them to the book, for a seamless look. We appreciate your understanding. I will provide more details about a summer pick up plan as soon as I have the dates and details.

2nd Grade Salsa Party
CFES 2nd graders carried on the tradition of celebrating their garden project with a Salsa Party. Parents and guests were invited to view individual student projects and a video highlighting the different garden crews. Students and parents celebrated by enjoying the fresh salsa made from the harvested garden vegetables. What an amazing experience for our 2nd graders!
Note from Nurse Jennifer
Reminder that all student medication that has been brought to the clinic (Tylenol, Ibuprofen, Inhalers, Epi Pens, Benadryl, etc.) must be picked up by the end of the year. Medication pick up can be done at the clinic between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm from now until the end of May.
We are still seeing some cases of FLU, a stomach bug, and an occasional Covid case in the school community. You will want to consider Covid testing if your child is symptomatic with a headache, cough, or cold symptoms. Please keep your child home if they have a fever, diarrhea, or vomiting. They should be fever, diarrhea, and vomit free for 24 hours before returning to school. Their cough and nasal symptoms should also be improved. They should be eating, drinking, and tolerating activity before returning.
Tomball ISD is still following CDC guidelines for Covid. If a child tests positive, they must isolate at home for at least 5 days. It is then recommended that they wear a mask for 5 days.
If a close contact/ family member tests positive for Covid and the student is unvaccinated, the student must quarantine at home for at least 5 days. It is then recommended that they be tested. If the test is negative and they have no Covid symptoms they may return to school. If they are vaccinated, do not have symptoms, and they are avoiding contact with the infected person/ following precautions, they may attend school. Testing is recommended on day 5. Home tests are acceptable.
If your child tests positive, please go to the district website Covid reporting form and complete the form. Nurse Jennifer will then call you and help you calculate dates.
Please continue to teach your children about good handwashing, avoid touching the face, mouth, nose, or eyes.
Thanks for keeping our school safe!
