Walt Disney Biography

Walt Disney was born December 5,1901 in Hermosa, Illinois, He died in 1966. His parents were Flora call Disney and Clias Disney. He was one out of five children. He went to Mckinley high school in Chicago, Illinois. He droped out when he was 16 years old to join the army; however he was not allowed to join because he was only 16 years old. He then soon returned home where he won a scholarship to an art institute, Where he meet U.B Iwerks. U.B Iwerks was another animator and the two hit it off. They went on to make several animations for several different theaters the most known theater they preformed for was the Newman Theater chain. Here are some of there most famous animations. Flowers and trees(1932), and the first animation they did in color was Little pigs (1933). A year later Walt wanted to make an animation they lengh of a film. Others thought he was crazy but years of practice and hard work it paid of. Once they made one they would make another. The people were loving these animations including snow white (1937) Pinnochio, Dumbo, and Bambi.Which were all a huge success. In 1925 he hired a ink paint artist named Lillian Bounds. Later on that year they got married. After years and years of hard work, films and animations he passed away in 1966 from lung cancer. In 1971 they made Disney World to honor his legacy.

Impact

Walt Disney Impacted children and inspired them. He also helped the tourism business by opening up theme parks. He made the first colored movie. He also had an advancement of technology to the film industry.
