Phillips Honored at Field Dedication

There was a great turnout for Jean Phillips softball field dedication. Jeanie was a Health and PE teacher in Scott 2 for over 30 years! She was an assistant basketball coach for girls basketball and was head coach for girls softball. She was in fact responsible for starting the girls softball program at SHS. Her record as a JV basketball coach is unmatched. She was a lifetime member of Lancaster Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for over 50 years! Philly passed away in 2015 but left such an impression on so many students at Scott 2! Warriorette Proud!!

Prosser Wall Of Fame

SHS students had a big month at Prosser. We had three students who were named to the Prosser Wall of Fame for outstanding work in their specialties. Junior Halle Owens is in the Cosmetology program, senior Charles Coomer is in the Auto Tech program, and senior Kady Bryson is in the Criminal Justice program. Congratulations!

New Tech Senior Banquet

The Annual New Tech Senior Banquet is Sunday, April 30th at 6 pm. It will be held at Elevation Church in Scottsburg Indiana. The banquet honors those students that made their required community service hours. At New Tech, a four-year senior needs to achieve a community service goal of 100 hours in order to obtain the New Tech seal on their diploma. The banquet honors those students that have made their hours, as it is a significant achievement. Family and friends of the seniors will enjoy an evening of congratulations and honor.
