BES Weekly Update

A Note From Principal Paquette

Hello Eagle Families!

I hope this newsletter finds you all healthy and doing well during these unprecedented times. I want to start by thanking each of you for your continued support and outstanding efforts as we made the swift change to remote learning following the holiday break. The support and guidance you are giving to your students is much appreciated. I am thoroughly enjoying joining the Google Meets and taking part in lessons alongside the students. Beekmantown is a very fortunate district in our current times in that we can continue with our high quality education even with distance between us.

As we continue with remote learning it is important that you continue to complete the Daily Student Health Screening. This data helps us to make informed decisions regarding the health of our students that we hope to be returning to in-person education as soon as possible. Your time in completing this task each morning is greatly appreciated! At this time, our current remote learning has been extended through at least January 25th. We will re-evaluate our current situation on January 19th and give another update at that point in time.

I will begin publishing an Academic Newsletter in the days ahead. My goal is to share with you the educational milestones that typically developing children will reach at each grade level. My hope is that this publication will help guide you in working with your child. It will be similar in nature to what you receive at your child’s yearly physical update that showcases what a typically developing child can do in that year. This information will be helpful to you as a parent in order to help guide your child educationally and help to keep them developing at the expected rate. If you have any questions pertaining to educational development, please be sure to reach out so that I can include your question in future publications. If you have the question, I am sure others do as well. Be on the lookout for this publication coming soon!

Checkout the rest of this newsletter for information regarding Chromebook repairs, Counseling support to help with your child’s social and emotional well-being, information from the school nurse, meal updates and more! Reach out if we can be of any assistance to you or your child during this time.

Stay healthy and stay well!

Educationally yours,

Sarah Paquette
