December 2021

A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL:

We are decking the halls and getting ready for the holiday season at Madill. There is excitement in the air as we anticipate the joys of December. Please check out all that is happening this month.

With the colder weather, please be reminded that students cannot enter the building until 7:50am. For your child's safety, please do not drop him or her off until that time.

As always, I would welcome any questions or concerns you may have at any time. I can be reached by phone at 315-393-7729 or via email at adisalvo@ogdensburgk12.org.

I would like to wish you all a happy, healthy holiday season.

Warmest Regards,

Mrs. Amy DiSalvo

Monday, December 20th: School Spirit Day - Wear your Blue & White or Devil's Gear!

Tuesday, December 21st: Holiday Attire - Wear an ugly sweater or red and green!

Throw on your crazy socks, pants, shirt, hat, or try tie dye from head to toe!

Positivity Project

During the month of December, students will focus on the character traits of kindness, self control, and "Other People Matter" mindset. This is the perfect month to display these traits! Be sure to ask your students about these traits and how they are displaying each of them daily.

School Cancellations Due to Inclement Weather

With the winter season upon us, we understand the decision to open or close school due to bad weather has a tremendous impact on families. We also understand that our students are better served - both socially and academically - by being in school. As always, our top priority is the safety of our students.

If the decision is made to delay or close school, the public will be notified as follows:

  • One Call Now
  • On the school district website: www.ogdensburgk12.org
  • WSLB, WPAC, WGIX, YES FM, PAC 98.7, WNCQ in Ogdensburg
  • WPDM and WSNN in Potsdam
  • WMSA, MIX 96.1, FOX 101.5 in Massena
  • North Country Public Radio
  • WWNY-TV 7

If you do not currently receive One Call Now notifications from school and would like to be added to the list, please contact your child's building principal.

Block O

Block O is an organization of its own entity. We are not associated with OFA, but we give back to all its athletes. We raise money thru fundraisers and concession stands. Coaches submit requests for their teams needs at all levels and those requests are voted on by our members. We buy items that benefit present and future athletes, excluding uniforms. We do not subsidize requests that goes home with the athlete.

Now that you know a little bit about our organization, I hope you will help us help our athletes. We have many fundraisers that are in the planning stages. We are always looking for new volunteers to help us. Please email me blockobooster@gmail.com.

Big picture
Thank you to the Council of Carpenters, Local Union 277 for your donations to assist with the creation of a school pantry at Madill!
