: | First Grade News:First Grade has been learning about President’s Day. They have been learning about Abraham Lincoln this week and will learn about George Washington next week. To end their learning about Lincoln, the students made hats and beards to look like Abraham Lincoln. |
: | : | Third Grade News: Third grade had so much fun at their Valentine's Day party. They made heart towers for a STEM challenge to see whose was the tallest and longest. |
Fifth Grade News:Fifth grade students are working on writing responses to Text Dependent Analysis prompts. One of the skills they are working on is finding evidence of character traits and looking at how character traits, words, and actions can reveal the theme of the passage. To work on this, students had to create a skit with a problem and solution. They were given a specific theme that the skit needed to show. Students then performed their skits and the other groups of students had to find the problem, solution, and theme. |
Fifth Grade News:

: Our classes enjoyed creating Valentines for Vets, which were distributed to the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home to brighten Valentine’s Day for our Veterans and to thank them for their service. | : | : ELA students are working on analyzing their characters in fantasy stories. They are discussing the problems the characters face and what lesson we learn from those problems. |

Private Car Information:
Please do not park along the sidewalk or in front of the round-a-bout. It is important that cars are able to drive along there to safely let their children out of the car for school. Thank you!
Water Bottles:
Due to the continued closure of our water fountains, students should bring a water bottle to school daily. The bottle must only contain water.
School Gate Guardian:
Please remember to bring your driver's license/photo ID with you when you visit our school. We will require all visitors to scan through School Gate Guardian. Please understand that this is for the safety of our students and staff.
