Sarah's Ghost House
by: abbie and mia
Sarah had a beautiful mansion with her newborn baby and her very rich husband. Sarah was living the dream life until both her baby and her husband died. So she decided to lock herself up in her house for a couple of years until she decided to talk to the spirits of her dead loved ones. She talked to a man named Adam Coon and he told her that she needs to move to the west coast to build a "ghost house" that fit her husbands needs or else the spirits would take her. When she arrived in San Jose, California, she sold her house and bought a new one immediately and started expanding the house. They worked for 38 years to make the house big enough for Sarah and the ghosts
When she arrived in San Jose, California, she sold her house and bought a new one immediately and started expanding the house. They worked for 38 years to make the house big enough for Sarah and the ghosts. House had 160 rooms, 13 bathrooms, 6 kitchens, 10,000 windows, 467 doors, 40 staircases, 52 skylights, 47 fireplaces, a ball room, and a dining room. Sarah was obsessed with the number 13 so the light feature had 13 globes, the 13 bathrooms, some stair cases had 13 steps, and her own bathroom had 13 windows. Plus, her servants would set up 13 places at the dinner table when Sarah had dinner with the spirits. She never let anyone inside the house ever. And since she was terrified of the ghost and had 160 rooms, she slept in a different room every night. Even though Adam said if she kept pleasing the ghost with the house, that she wouldn't die. But, she died the year of 1922 at the age of 85. All the furniture was sold and so was the house. People are still very confused about the house. Some stairways lead to no where and doorways lead to thin air, so who knows what those spirits wanted.
Some of the haunting's that occurred in Sarah's house were sometimes when Sarah was eating dinner she would invite the spirits to come eat with her whenever they want. The hauntings started to scare her at night to she had to sleep in a different room every single night so she knew that the spirits wouldnt get her in her sleep and kill her.
