Drop-off/Pick-up safety
Also, in the afternoon, if your child is a walker, they will not be allowed to walk across the cross walk to meet you. You will need to cross over to meet them.
Walker dismissal is for students who walk home or are bikers. Our car line moves quickly. We start at 3:15 and are done around 3:33 almost every day. If your child does not walk home or ride a bike, please consider letting them be a car rider.

Watch D.O.G.S.
As a result of the District’s safety committee’s recommendations, we will be starting the Watch D.O.G.S. program at North Pointe this school year. The Watch D.O.G.S. program’s goals are to provide positive male role models for the students, demonstrating by their presence that education is important and to provide extra sets of eyes and ears to enhance school security and reduce bullying. Watch D.O.G.S are fathers, grandfathers, uncles and other father figures who volunteer for at least one day each year. Watch D.O.G.S. dads and volunteers perform a variety of tasks during their volunteer day including monitoring the school entrance, assisting with unloading and loading of buses and cars, monitoring the lunch room, or helping around the building. We hope that student will have one person volunteer to help make sure North Pointe is a safe place for our students. Please join us on October 2nd for our Watch D.O.G.S. launch!

Cafeteria Information
Please read the below cafeteria information sheet. It has all the information you will need about the food service program at CCISD. Please be sure to make sure your child has money in their lunch account. We loaned out $930 last year to students who did not have money in their account. We received about $550 back from the students who borrowed from us. We started this program so that our students didn’t have to return their tray when they didn’t have money and get a cheese sandwich and milk. We are grateful to PTA and to some of our parents who donated to this account. We are starting this year with zero money in our account. If you would like to donate to our account, we would be grateful! We really want to continue this program. We will make some changes this year. Each student may only borrow three times without repayment. Students are free to borrow as many times as needed if they repay the amount borrowed. If a student comes to the office to borrow, they will be given a note and an envelope in which to send in the money. Please help us continue to offer this service by sending back the money borrowed. We appreciate your help with this!
