Where Learning Takes Flight
A Note from Mrs. Tallent
We had a great turn out this week during our Thanksgiving Feast Days! We appreciate your patience while we worked through our new process. As with anything new, you work through the kinks and make adjustments so that it can run smoothly. Day two was much smoother than day one, so a special thank you to our first grade parents for being so understanding and kind since you were our first!
We also had a great time honoring our Veterans during our Veterans Day Parade. A big thank you to all the Veterans who participated in our parade! Make sure you check out pictures and videos on twitter at @HumbleISD_FCE!
This week, we invite parents to join us for Turkey Trot! This will take place during each grade level's specials time. Our students really get into it and every visitor can help them earn laps. We can't wait to get in some fitness before we all indulge during Thanksgiving Break!

Please make sure your child wears tennis shoes, brings a water bottle and wear the color designated for your child's teacher (see colors below)!
Lost and Found
We can tell that we've had some cold weather because our Lost and Found is starting to fill up with jackets and coats! Please take a moment when you are on campus to stop by and look to see if any of your child's lost items are there! We do our best to look for names on items and deliver those back to students. If the item doesn't have a name on it, it goes into the lost and found. We will probably clean out the lost and found when everyone leaves for Thanksgiving Break. This will give students and families and opportunity on Conference Day (Nov. 1st) and Thanksgiving Feast Days to look for lost items. Items that have not been claimed by then will be donated. Parents feel free to check in a the front office any morning and go check the lost and found it needed!

Texas Roadhouse Spirit Day & Bread Fundraiser Pickup!
Support our school by joining us at Texas Roadhouse from 11a-3p! The class with the most participants will win a Texas Roadhouse party for their entire class! Show the server the dine-to-donate flyer, and they will scan the barcode. Servers will also have their own copies of the flyer if needed. Please make sure to tell your server about the FCE spirit night, so we receive credit. For curbside orders, you can enter the barcode number in as a coupon code and it will apply to the order. If you forget to enter the coupon code, ask a staff member to scan the barcode for you.
For the competition, there will be a drop box at the front of the restaurant (near where the receipt collection box used to be). Please write your student's name, teacher, and grade on your receipt and put in the box.
This is also the time when you can pick up bread orders from our Texas Roadhouse Gift Card & Bread Fundraiser!
