Gone most of the week...
I will gone most of this week, including times when fun events are taking place. Please think of me during these events :) I will be at my state conference, but will have my email open so I can easily post between sessions or in the evening. Thank you in advance!!
OK2Say
As we discuss increasing school safety, one thing that has come up is OK2Say. I have been in contact with the local representative; they provide free presentations for staff, students and parents. The program also has give-aways for kids, posters for the schools, etc., to help us establish that it's a part of our school. This will likely be a MS/HS implementation. I'll keep you updated.

Communications Tip of the Week
Have information to get out to your staff? Think about breaking it into bite-sized sections so it's easier to digest.
- Think of three important things. (Any more than that, and it might become too much.)
- Create a bold headline, then add a brief explanation.
- Separate topics into paragraphs. A visual break goes a long way.
- Create bullet points or numbers to help guide the text, as well
- Don't overwhelm them with too much information. If they don't need the info *right now, can it wait? Or can you just give a teaser sentence and say "more to come later"?
