5 Things to Know: STABLE Accounts

STABLE Accounts

Article from Ohio Treasurer Sprague on STABLE/ABLE Accounts

The Columbus Dispatch recently printed an article on ABLE (Achieving a Better Life Experience) Accounts and proposed legislation. Ohio's version of this is the STABLE account program, which allows a person with a disability to save funds without losing Medicaid benefits. To read the article by Ohio Treasurer Robert Sprague, click on the link below. FCBDD staff member Jennifer Cunningham serves on the Treasurer's Advisory Committee for STABLE Accounts and was the second person in Ohio to establish an account.
