Kick Butts Day Campaign- March 16, 2016
This year the Wood County Prevention Coalition is participating in a fun activity that will promote against the use of tobacco with the Kick Butts Day campaign. Kick Butts Day is a national day of activism that empowers youth to stand out, speak up and seize control against Big Tobacco. The next Kick Butts Day is March 16, 2016 and we're asking everyone (but particularly youth) to participate in an activity called Not a Replacement. Not a Replacement is a "selfie campaign" that tells the tobacco industry that youth are not "replacement smokers." Print a selfie statement card (you can print one from the link provided below) and add a personalized message or factoid on the harms of smoking. After you've taken your selfie, submit your picture to be shared on social media and one lucky participant's photo will be featured in an upcoming newsletter! Also, the school district with the most participants in this campaign will be specially recognized by the coalition!
