Andrew Jackson
A zero for the US
The National Bank
Andrew Jackson ruined the economy by vetoing the Nation Bank bill. The National Bank has been around since George Washington was President. Jackson felt that the National Bank favored only the wealthy class, and he thought having it was very unconstitutional. Jackson thought that he would solve the problems of the national bank by vetoing the bill, but all he did was ruin the economy.
The Trail of Tears and the Indian Removal Act
Andrew Jackson forced the Cherokees off of their land, because he wanted the land to grow cotton and mine gold. Andrew Jackson expected that the Cherokees would just get up and leave. The Cherokees had to move to Oklahoma and resettle there. Congress then introduced a bill and Jackson signed it and it allowed the US Government to "exchange" the Indians land.
The Spoils System
The Spoils System is a when a the president wins they would give a government job to its voters as a reward for supporting him. This was a BAD idea, because people who had no experience in political working, they would get a job and not even know what they are doing. This will result as a negative for the US.
