Varsity Bowling
On January 26, the girl's bowling team bowled against the Memphis girl's bowling team at Strikers in Richmond. Dryden’s girl's bowling team finished the meet with 16 out of 30 points, winning against Memphis. It was a close meet, although all of the girls did an amazing job. Dryden’s highest bowler was senior Joanna Livingston, who bowled a 161 in her first match and a 118 in her second. Our second highest bowler was sophomore Raeshell Richardson who bowled a 112 in her first match and a 105 in her second. Great job, girls!
On January 31, the girl's bowling team bowled against Memphis’ girl's bowling team at Strikers in Richmond again. Dryden’s girl's bowling team earned 20 out of 30 points against Memphis, winning yet another meeting. The girls performed amazingly well and worked very hard. Dryden’s highest bowler was senior Joanna Livingston, who bowled a 145 in her first match and a 158 her second. The second highest bowler was sophomore Lily Finnigan, who bowled 120 in her first match and 130 in her second match. The third highest bowler was sophomore Raeshell Richardson, who bowled a 97 in her first match and a 156 in her second match. Great job girls, you are doing amazing! Varsity Girls Basketball
by Ava DeVlaminck
The Varsity Girls Basketball team worked hard this past week! On Monday, the girls played Lakeville and played their hearts out. Although they ended in a loss, it was a step in the right direction. The final score was 24-52. The leading scorer was Jessica Peters with 8 points. Then, Lauren Abromaitis had 7 points and Ava Devlamick had 4. Rilynn Lindsay had 2 points, Jenna Peters had 2 points, and Olivia Stickler had 1 point.
On Tuesday, the girls played Deckerville and unfortunately lost when the win was in their grasp. Either way, the girls played very well against this difficult team and was once again, a step in the right direction. The final score of this game was 49-25.
On Friday for the Snowcoming game, BCAS was shaking in their boots when the girls came out and almost took the win from a 9-2 record school. This was by far the best game these girls have played. The final score was 28-22, making BCAS win by a hair. That being said, come watch the girls beat Mayville tonight in our home gym!
Junior Varsity Boys Basketball
On Friday, January 28, in a packed gymnasium, the Junior Varsity boys went up against CPS. They won, 50-14. The leading scorers were Jaylin Taylor, 14 points; Joshua Harris, 12 points; Jacob Buffo, 9 points; Drew Raymond, 8 points; and Owen Gall, 6 points. Marvelous job, boys!
Varsity Boys Basketball
by Nick Abromaitis
The Dryden Boys Basketball team knows how to put on a show for their home crowd. Snowcoming games are always exciting: loud chants, nice basketball, and concession snacks. The Dryden boys won by 24 points. Let's look at the numbers for the boys!
Merrick Maris led the Cardinals with 24 points, followed by Jacob Burgess with 22. Dylan Ledford had 6 points and Jacob Buffo had 4 points. Zack Lemke and Tommy Giles had 2 points each, and Sonny Coscione had a point.
After the win, Coach DelCampo said, "We had a rough first half and got in foul trouble. We settled down in the second half and played much better defensively."
Good job boys. What a great win! Good luck in your next game. Go Cardinals!
