High Levels of Learning for All!
Week of March 2, 2015
There is some concern about students not completing their homework. As a reminder, the students write down their homework assignments every morning in their homework planner. There is a section titled "Other". This is where the students will write down any missed work they still have. Please make sure these assignments also get completed. I know for myself, I get frustrated if I have lots of responsibilities at one time. I can only imagine what it must feel like for a student to be behind in their work. Please help me to make sure your child has a successful learning experience. As a reference, our daily homework is always posted on our classroom website. The website is: TEAM McIntire
What We Are Learning:
Writing: Tomorrow is our publishing party on our persuasive essay. We will begin our descriptive writing by creating an alien and having our classmates draw them from our descriptions.
Spelling: Unit 23 which focuses on the spelling pattern of v-c-c-v. A spelling worksheet was given today and will be due on Wednesday. The test will be Friday.
Math: We will push our Unit 6 test on division to Wednesday. WE are currently taking our time going over the study guide and answering any questions and misconceptions. As always, please work on math multiplication facts at home. 4th grade students are required to master their multiplication facts through 12s.
Social Studies: We will be taking our quiz on Early Missouri history tomorrow. We will then focus on our Science unit of Rocks, Minerals, and Soil/Plants.
Science: Beginning our Rocks & Minerals unit.
***Reminder**** All 4th grade students are required to read at least 20 minutes of reading each night. The students are responsible for blogging about their nightly reading in class.
