Special Events

Reacting to the Past

Join us for an extended workshop to discover the award winning pedagogy “Reacting to the Past.” In this game-based learning strategy students take on the roles of historical actors in a structured game. In their role, they are delivering speeches, writing essays, while learning to collaborate with allies and opponents alike.

During this workshop, experienced Georgia Southern “Reactors” will provide an overview of the concept before taking us to 18th century France as we navigate the political battlegrounds of ” Rousseau, Burke, and Revolution in France, 1791.”
