School Dress Code
Student dress and appearance Students are expected to keep themselves well groomed and neatly dressed. This dress code is in effect on all school property, applies to all school events and is in effect unless specified otherwise. It does not apply to sports uniforms or acceptable practice attire. Any form of dress which is unsafe, considered contrary to good hygiene or which is disruptive to the educational process will not be permitted. This includes but is not limited to the following: Tube tops, one-strap tops, halters, tops with less than 2-inch shoulder straps and any clothing that does not cover the midriff/cleavage. Clothing that does not cover up underwear. Clothing advertising illegal substances or promoting gang activity. Clothing with obscene printing/images that are offensive/profane. Shorts and short skirts that are shorter than mid-thigh length. Skin tight stretch pants/shorts unless covered by clothing that meets dress code. Hats and scarves will not be worn in the buildings from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. “Heely” shoes (those with wheels embedded in the soles) and the like are not allowed on campus unless the wheels have been removed. High-heeled shoes are also not allowed. Any apparel that is unsafe to the wearer or others is not allowed.
