How to get STAAR Results
End of Year Graduation and Awards - PreK, Kinder, 5th Grade
May 27 at 8:30 – 5th grade awards - Each student will be provided 2 adult tickets.
May 28 at 8:30 – PreK Graduation - Each student will be provided 4 adult tickets.
May 28 at 9:30 – Kindergarten Graduation - Each student will be provided 2 adult tickets.
We will hold these celebrations in-person while live streaming them for virtual learners. We are required to follow our District protocol of maintaining social distancing for indoor events. This will allow us to provide all current in-person students in 5th and Kinder with two adult tickets to attend these events. Since our PreK program is much smaller, we will provide 4 adult tickets for each child. We will not be able to accommodate additional tickets including additional children nor can we add any new students or students switching from virtual to in-person after April 30th with tickets. Thank you for your understanding.
Tickets will go home in your child's backpack on Monday, May 24th. We are unable to replace lost tickets, so please keep them in a safe place.
Virtual Students Electronic Device Return
We will be collecting all electronic devices from Wednesday, May 26 to Friday May 28. When you return the electronic device and Hot Spot (if issued one) you will receive a paper packet for the last three days. The virtual teachers will make contact each day to check on your child's progress. In order for your child to be counted present for the day, the teacher must make contact. Please make sure your child's teacher has good contact information. Non-returned or damaged items will need to be reported to the authorities and a report will be filed with the NEPD.
Hours for Return:
Wednesday, May 26: 8:00 - 4:00
Thursday, May 27: 8:00 - 7:00 (Late hours to accommodate parents who are working)
Friday, May 28: 8:00 - 4:00
Thank You!

Masks no longer required at NEISD schools or facilities starting June 5
This week, Governor Greg Abbott issued an executive order that prohibits governmental entities in Texas from requiring or mandating mask wearing after June 4. Therefore, North East ISD will no longer require face coverings beginning June 5, 2021, at any NEISD schools or facilities. This applies to all students, staff and visitors. Anyone who would like to continue to wear a mask may certainly choose to do so.

Free Summer Groceries for ALL Harmony Hills Students
All students attending Harmony Hills either in-person or virtually can qualify for $1,575 In free groceries this summer through the Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer program.
This program is coordinated through three state agencies: Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC), Texas Education Agency (TEA), and Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA).
P-EBT provides supplemental food assistance benefits to students who have temporarily lost access to free or reduced-price school meals due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
How can students access these funds?
- Families that are currently on SNAP (food stamps) do not need to take any action. The additional benefits will automatically be added to the family’s benefit card.
- Families that are not on SNAP will need to apply for the P-EBT funding when the application is released by HHSC in June. North East ISD will send out a notification once the application is available.
- All students on our campus are eligible since it is a CEP campus and all students can eat for free. Individual student income does not apply if they attend a CEP campus.
How can families get more information?
- HHSC will have a webpage and hotline for families to get more information once the application opens in June. Outreach materials will be posted later this month to publicize the program to families.
News from the Library
Hello HH Hawk Readers!
Thank you for your support of the bookfair. We reached our goal! Next month we'll be able to expand the fiction section with two more bookcases.
Maker Mornings have returned most Wednesdays and Fridays in the library. Please pick up breakfast first. Come to the library to explore all kinds of science, technology, reading, engineering, art, and mathematics related activities (STREAM). Most activities will be for grade 2 and up. Clean up materials and head back to class promptly at 7:45 to eat [quickly] and start your classroom day!
This will be the last read aloud batch of the year. This link will stay active through the end of May when it will come down to honor author/illustrator/publisher copyright. If you enjoy a book find it on Sora, at the public library, or at the HH Library!
Stay tuned for summer reading suggestions in May.
