Yes, 'tis the season of goodwill and best wishes to all!!! Our Sing-a-Long truly brought the spirit of the holiday season to me and hopefully to many of you. Many thanks to our Chorus, Band, Ms. Trent, and Mr. Keane!! Through your hard work and passion for music you have made our hearts "three times" larger. No, Grinches here at Midway! Thank you for an evening of music and joy!
Many thanks to all who supported our Chick-fil-a Biscuit sale this morning. I know the warm biscuits were much appreciated by many!
Do remember that the Holiday Online Auction closes tonight (Friday night). Get your bids in! There are some great opportunities! Remember that principal for the day brings office work, a special lunch, lunch and recess supervision...and, yes, use of keys and walkie! Students even write and publish their own newsletter about their day's adventures. Here is the link in case you need it.
Next week is another busy week with Winter Celebrations on Wednesday, Dec. 18, for Kindergarten, 2nd, and 4th grades, and on Thursday, Dec. 19, for 1st, 3rd, and 5th grades.
Please remember that school is dismissed at 11:40 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 20. Daycares (including AlphaBest) and buses will be picking up at this time. There will be no MES Care so all students must be picked up by 11:40 via car, bus, or daycare. Both breakfast and lunch will be served. Thank you for your help in planning ahead for this early dismissal.
Have a wonderful weekend! Travel safely, stay warm and dry, and read a GREAT book with your child or children!
Yours truly,
Jan Fickling, Principal
