Two strategies we are putting in place to reduce the number of students late to class and loss of precious learning time:
- Starting after Thanksgiving break on Dec. 2 parent volunteers will be near the forrest area on the Myrtle street with a desk handing out late slips to students so they don't have to walk to the office.
- Next, all classes will begin the community morning circle right away. This is an important part of our classroom and school culture and kids don't want to miss this learning time.
- Teachers will be talking to families during conference time about the importance of being on time to school and share individual student data.
Together we can make a difference in getting our kids into class on time and learning together.
