Cardboard Challenge Gingerbread houses, robots, an ice cream truck and a car wash were just some of the many constructions students collaboratively designed for this year's Cardboard Challenge! Students enjoyed sharing their creations and seeing what other classes and grades made. We are so proud of their creativity, collaboration and problem-solving! | Bravo, 5th Grade Band! After only 10 lessons, the 5th grade band rocked their first collective demonstration performance in front of an audience of family members last week. These students are learning that practice pays off! We are very proud of their efforts and showmanship. We look forward to their next big performance at South Middle School in January! | Write On! Last week, groups of Dryden teachers visited 2nd, 4th and 5th grade classrooms to observe demonstration lessons for writing. Professional learning for educators is a career-long endeavor, and it was wonderful to have this opportunity to see our student authors in action. Here, 5th grade students are brainstorming and writing about "messy situations that lead to good things". |

ABC/25 Get Burbed Challenge T-Shirt Design Contest
There's still time! We'd love for you to submit your designs for this year's ABC/25 Get Burbed Challenge poster and t-shirt. Any District 25 student can participate! Your design could be featured on hundreds of posters and t-shirts around town.

$2500 ABC/25 Membership Grant Opportunity for Dryden
Dryden is just 10 memberships short of achieving our $2500 membership grant! Every year we have been fortunate to receive this grant, and with it we have purchased new furniture for the LMC, robotics kits for student use, furniture and equipment for our outdoor learning space and books for classroom libraries. Variety Show is ON!
Kids, brush the dust off your top hats and tune up those magic wands, the Variety Show is a go for this school year! More information to come, but auditions will be Tuesday, January 14.
