Thursday 7 April – SRC Mufti day

In class this week:

We are working hard to improve our fitness in preparation for the challenging cross-country race. In science, we have had lots of fun observing objects that float or sink and this week we will discover if we can construct our own objects that float. During maths we have practised recognising and writing two digit numbers and we will be learning more addition facts. In literacy groups we are concentrating on reading with fluency and writing using accurate spelling.

On Thursday, after the cross-country events, we will be celebrating Harmony Day. This is a time for celebrating Australia’s cultural diversity. It’s about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone. The children will be in K-6 peer groups and will participate in a variety of activities to encourage children to understand the concept that ‘everyone belongs’.

Thank you to the families who have returned interview notes.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of our families are happy and safe Easter break.

Regards, Kerrie
