PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Kia ora e te whānau,
The weekend of the Trail Ride I was lucky enough, along with our school community to experience the buzz of hundreds of trail bikes and their excited riders pushing the limits as they traversed some pretty rugged countryside. We are a very fortunate school to be able to hold such an event and this would not have been possible if it was not for the dedication of the Trail Ride Committee liaising between landowners, volunteers as well as completing a multitude of health and safety requirements. I was impressed how many volunteers turned up that did not have children currently attending our school. A testament to how highly anticipated this huge event is. Personally, it was an amazing initiation into ‘Trail Rides’.
Thank you to everyone that was involved.
Cross Country was held up in the domain this afternoon and the crowd support was wonderful. Your encouragement motivated our students to put in the extra effort required to complete the course. We had a few small changes to the course this year and it was good to be able to hold the entire event up in the Domain. What a brilliant location! Thank you to Ginny and Cath for devising new courses and working out the new set up. Our end chutes were kindly put up by Ben Ferguson.
Have a great fortnight and keep well.
Ngā mihi nui,
Megan
