"Fur and Feather Friends" from Mrs. Keith's Class
Students were challenged to use watercolor and glue mixed with black acrylic paint to create their pets. They used the elements of art and chose to either paint their pet in a more realistic way or use different colors to represent their relationship with their pet or their pet's personality.
Roosevelt ID Cards and Lanyards
All students are required to wear their Roosevelt ID cards everyday to school. Please remind your student to have their ID card on as they enter the campus. If your student has lost their ID card, a new one can be purchased in the main office before or after school. Cost for a new ID and Lanyard is $6.00.
Computer Science Programming Club
Mr. LaPorte will be supervising an after school programming club at Roosevelt that will be taught by MVHS Computer Science teacher, Jeffrey Yee, and MVHS CS students. The club will start in January and meet once a week. Students will learn how to program in Java and will create a 2D graphics animated program. The club will allow students to apply their math skills and use their imagination to create a fun and engaging animated project.
Students will stay after school from 3:45 until 5:45 P.M., in Mr. Guerzon's classroom C-5. Club will meet on eight consecutive Thursdays and students should be expected to make all 8 club meetings. There will only be up to 15 7th and 8th graders that will be part of the club. And students must be earning a "C" or better in their Math and Science classes. Parent permission is required. Register your students with QR Code or signing sheet that will Mr. LaPorte will provide. Contact Mr. LaPorte for additional information at email@example.com
