MANGA MADNESS
If you are a true manga maniac, you don' t have to ask what it is. But, for those who don't know, manga is a style of graphic novel or comic that originated in Japan. The books are typically bound "backwards" and read right to left rather than left to right. Today you can find Manga across all genres, even the classics. Stop by the library and peruse our growing manga collection.
Current titles include:
- Naruto
- Pokemon
- Blue Exorcist
- Hellsing
- Alice in the Country of Hearts
- Assassination Classroom
- Shaman King
- Fullmetal Alchemist
We also have "The Manga Guide to..." Calculus, Biochemistry, Linear Algebra, Physiology, Relativity, Statistics, Databases, Electricity, and The Universe!!

DIGITAL LITERACY
Bad Reputation
When you think of a bad reputation, do you consider your digital footprint? In the digital age of the Millennials, it is never too soon (or too late) to start considering what you put out in the universe for potentially ALL to see. In a study from 2010, 70% of employers in the US conduct an online search to weed out applicants based on what they have posted on the internet, (Micorsoft). Imagine how many employers use the internet now to screen applicants? Be careful what you post on your social media. With the ability to "screenshot' anything from your phone, nothing is completely private, EVER! What you post now could potentially come back to haunt you years down the road, so clean it up. Check out this article from Google+ to help improve your digital footprint.
