Spelling & Grammar Curriculum - Coming this Fall!
We are excited to share that a big change will be occurring in Grades 3-6 ELA classes. Recently we met with the District Curriculum Director, as well as our school Principal, and researched multiple spelling and grammar programs. We are happy to share that this fall we will be implementing two new programs into our curriculum; one for spelling and one for grammar. Be on the lookout for the lessons and activities your child will be bringing home in these two subject areas. We are looking forward to this change and believe it will help our students further grow as spellers and writers.

Trauma Kits Donated to PCS by Mr. & Mrs Peter Stanley and the PCS PTG
PCS staff will now be equipped with the medical equipment that could save lives in the event of a traumatic injury. As fear surrounding school shootings and mass casualties grows nationwide, Mr. & Mrs. Peter Stanley and the PCS PTG purchased trauma kits to be placed in all “go kits” throughout the school making these vital supplies easily accessible. Amid the shootings, it became clear that nurses must be equipped to control bleeding before the first responders arrive on the scene, especially in rural communities where response times can be long. Stopping the bleeding increases survivability of students and school staff. These kits provide new equipment that will be useful in any incident that causes massive bleeding. Peter and Kristin Stanley have also generously offered to train staff on the use of supplies contained within the new trauma kits. We'd like to THANK Mr. & Mrs. Stanley and the member of the PCS PTG for their generous donation!
6th grade Graduation
The PCS Chorus also performed during this celebration and the honored graduation speaker was Chief Dana Cooley. On behalf of Petersham Center School, I presented him a plaque which recognizes all he has done for our students and staff. Thanks so very much Chief!
Also, a special thanks goes to Mrs. Ruggles for all of her hard work on this special celebration!

Requesting possible yoga mats donation
Hello Friends!
As most of you know, we practice yoga/mindfullness every week in Performance Art.
Our mats have deteriorated terribly through the years of use. We really could use some new ones.
If anyone has mats they would like to contribute, we would greatly appreciate this. They can be gently used or new.
Thank you! Be well and happy!

Hello families! I am looking for donations of empty & clean frosting containers to help organize small cards for learning centers. Many, many thank yous!
