Weekly Wrap Up...
Happy Spring Break!
Good morning SMS families!
Monday, March 22nd is the first day of Spring Break! There will be no school from March 22nd to March 26th. Please use this time to rest, recharge and catch up on any missing school work. Below are important pieces of information as we near the start of HYBRID learning.
Masks - At SMS, masks are required and gaiters are not allowed. Neck gaiters do not meet the school safety expectations put forth by the CDC and RSSL. We have plenty of disposable and fabric masks on hand for students that are transitioning away from neck gaiters during their face-to-face days. Thank you for your understanding.
March 30th - Teachers will be unavailable between 8 - 9 AM and 3 - 4 PM for a staff meeting.
Students of the week.
Anya Gula - Anya is a positive person with an infectious smile! She is a talented writer and very creative! Anya is fantastic at participating in class, encouraging her classmates and having a great time. She sticks out in my mind because she is so attentive to her work and making sure she understands why she missed a problem and then learning from the mistakes and correcting them. Anya attendsa live Zoom classes and asks great questions.
Amalie Anderson - Amalie consistently comes to Zoom class and keeps up on her work. She is creative and responsible. Amalie turns her work in on time and does great quality work! Her work is amazing and she clearly puts all her effort into it. She turns her camera on and shares willingly. Thanks Amalie!
Ellionna Nord - Ellionna works so hard and always emails or comes to zoom to communicate. She is always responsible and self-motivated to excel and her work always shows her best efforts.
Payton Hamman - Payton is a responsible and self-motivated learner. She makes the effort to turn in her best work every time. And she has a positive attitude!
Ava Vetsch - Ava has done a fabulous job this quarter, all work is in and she communicates frequently if she has questions or needs to relay information. Ava has great attendance, participates in discussions, and is responsible about communication and making up work.
No lockers - When we transition to HYBRID beginning April 12th, students will keep their belongings with them during their school day.
We need your help with Yearbook photos!
-If your student did not get school pictures taken this year, we would still like to make sure they are included in the yearbook. Please help us out by uploading their picture (with their first and last name) HERE.
-We're also looking for SPORTS pictures, students in the SNOW, pictures of students doing DISTANCE LEARNING, or if you have other pictures that don't fit those descriptions, add them HERE.
-This year, our yearbook will be part picture-anthology and part time-capsule, for students to record their experiences during this historic year. We are looking for STUDENT WRITERS who might be interested in writing articles for publication. If you are interested, please email Mrs. Schrunk at: kschrunk@scappoose.k12.or.us
