Moodle eCommunity: Main outcome of this project is to create a new Moodle course format called the eCommunity Platform which will provide educators an easy to facilitate online component for any class. The new course format will have a familiar feel for educators and students who have used social networks such as Facebook, Edmodo, or Twitter.
The hope is that by having a familiar feel it will make the interface less intimidating to new users. Teachers will spend less time on “learning how to use” Moodle and can spend more time on teaching and facilitating learning.

Twitter Hashtag
Check out an example from Walled Lake Community Schools by clicking here. Note: Scroll down to read the earliest posts. It's amazing to see the depth of the conversation, especially when each response is limited to just 140 characters and the chat is taking place from 8:30 PM - 9:30 PM!
When you are posting to Twitter about things related to educational technology, please consider using the hashtag: #oakedtech
Using the hashtag could help all of us Oakland County educators, who are interested in the effective use of educational technology, to connect and better collaborate with each other.
