A small portion of the funds are used to fund the following school-wide events:

Text Messages from the School...
As you know, texts have character limits and typing out "Spring Lake Elementary" eats up characters needed to convey the message being sent. Starting this year, I will always begin texts from our school with the abbreviation "SLE" so you will know the text is coming from Spring Lake Elementary. Thanks for the great feedback!
Online Learning Options for 2021-2022
However, if you are interested in having your student(s) participate in full-time online school this coming year through the Nebo Online Learning Summit, please click here to learn more. To enroll in the Nebo Online Learning Summit, please click here. Following completion of the enrollment form, a member of the Nebo Online Learning Summit team will contact you to begin the registration process.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What supplies do I need to send with my child?
The school will provide all needed supplies for your child other than a backpack. We do encourage parents to pay a $25 per child donation to the school that covers all costs throughout the year. Log on to iCampus and click on "fees" to donate.
Will students be required to wear masks this year?
Currently, the state mask mandate has been lifted and students are not required to wear a mask at school. However, any child who chooses to wear a mask is welcome to do so. We will continue to follow the guidelines of our district and state throughout the year.
Does my child need to bring a water bottle this year?
No. Our drinking fountains are open and operating. However, if you are more comfortable sending a water bottle, you may continue to do so.
Covid cases are increasing with a new variant. What will the school be doing to keep my child safe?
Last year we learned a lot! While some requirements have been relaxed, many of the good practices that happened last year will continue this year. This includes frequent hand washing/sanitizing, maintaining lunch protocols, ensuring students and staff stay home if they are sick, continued cleaning and sanitizing of classrooms and following all state guidelines.
Is the district providing remote learning options again this year?
The remote learning program that was provided last year will not be provided again this year. The district has created a new program called the Nebo Online Learning Summit which has a different look, feel and purpose. More information on this program is provided in this newsletter.
We are new to Spring Lake and want to get involved. Will the school be allowing volunteers? Do you have a Parent Teacher Association?
YES and YES! We are excited to welcome parent volunteers back to the school. You will still need to check in at the front office for a badge and quick health screening. We have an AMAZING PTA and they are in need of help this coming year. No matter your situation or circumstance there is a way you can get involved. Join PTA by logging on to your iCampus parent portal, click on "FEES" to join. Also, follow us on social media (Facebook, Instagram) and visit our website for updates and information on PTA meetings.
