The Middle class

Before the middle class emerged there was only the Aristocrats and the low-class commoners.

Around the end of the 19th century the middle class emerged. New urban industries required more white collar jobs such as doctors and lawyers. The larger the industrial revolution grew the stronger the middle class grew. The middle class got better housing, food, and health care which decreased infant mortality. The Working class suffered because of the increase of the middle class. More money was being put into the middle and the working class didnt get paid as much. Life expectancy rose from 35 to 40 years of age from birth, a 15th percent increase.
