Bus Schedule- IMPORTANT Information!
If you need a ride at any point during the week of June 21st-June 25th, you must also sign up in the main office. There are no regularly scheduled pick-ups or drop-offs during this week. ALL students who need a ride MUST sign-up in the office.
End of Year Information
Thursday, June 17 -- 8th Grade Celebration, 6pm in the MHS auditorium
Friday, June 18 -- Last day of school for grades 6-8 + End of Year Picnic for students & staff
In the High School:
Monday, June 14-Thursday, June 24 -- Finals, Regents exams, and review sessions (see schedule here)
Friday, June 25 -- Graduation
Note: High school students will have an open campus starting Monday, June 14. If a student is not scheduled for an exam or review class, they do not have to report to school until their next scheduled time.
Please make sure that students check the required review class schedule with each of their teachers!
School Chromebooks & Chargers
High school students should have already turned in their Chromebooks and chargers -- if they have not, please bring them in ASAP!
Middle school students will turn theirs in on Wednesday, June 16 during their first block class.

Note: Online ordering for High School yearbooks has now ended. There will be a few extra yearbooks for those who missed ordering, and those will be sold on a first come, first served basis.
COVID Vaccines
Everyone aged 12 and up is now eligible to receive the Pfizer vaccine in New York State.
Our local Kinney Drugs is offering the Pfizer vaccine for ages 12+. To book an appointment, go to https://secure.kinneydrugs.com/

Parents or legal guardians of any New Yorker, ages 12 to 17, can enter their child who has received at least their first COVID-19 vaccine dose (at any time), for a chance to win one of 50, four-year full-ride scholarships (includes tuition, fees, room-and-board, and expenses) to any New York State public college or university. Don't forget to let Nurse Cora know when you've received one or both of your shots so she can update your student health record!
Volunteer Opportunities

Don't forget, a parent/guardian can volunteer along with their student and earn double the hours toward the graduation requirement. Please see Mrs. Patti McConvey for more volunteer opportunities and don't forget to fill out and hand in those volunteer forms!
Ecumenical Food Bank Information
On Saturday, June 12, the Lake Placid Ecumenical Food Bank will hold a food drive with drop-off in the St. Agnes School/Church parking lot from 9am-12pm. All food donations are welcome. This will be the final food drive before the summer! Food drives are planned to resume in the fall.
Food is distributed every Friday at the garage behind St. Agnes Church from 9am-12pm and is open to anyone who is in need. Thank you for your donations and support!
Summer Youth Commission Program
When: July 6-August 13, Monday-Friday 10am-3pm (can drop off as early as 8am if needed)
Where: 1st week at LPES, and then at the Horse Show Grounds after that
Who: Kids ages 5-12 who reside in North Elba or the LP School District

Board of Education Meeting Dates 2020-21
The LPCSD Board of Education meets every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the MHS Library Media Center. Board members attend in person or via zoom from their homes.
- Board meetings will continue to be streamed live. Executive Order 202.1 – Article 7 of the Public Officers Law allows for the school board to meet without permitting in public in-person access to meetings.
- Board agenda documents will become live on Saturday before the meeting and can be found at: https://go.boarddocs.com/ny/lpcsd/Board.nsf/Public
- Anyone can submit comments for the Good of the Cause by emailing lpdistrictclerk@lakeplacidcsd.net. Emails will be read during the portion of the Good of the Cause.
