Instrument Supplies & Reading Music

Let's wrap up this unit, 2nd & 3rd Grade!

Time to choose an instrument and collect those supplies!

You all gave wonderful suggestions for which instruments you would like to make.

I have selected the most popular answers and would like you to pick just 1 instrument to make over the next 2 weeks. You will not have to complete your instrument until Week 9's Posted Lesson is due on Sunday, March 22nd. This will give you over 2 weeks to gather supplies and submit your finished instrument.

So......what are we doing in the meantime?

Instrument supplies are at the bottom of this page. You will use this week to collect your supplies and work on reading and writing music.

Reading Music

Please click on the buttons below to be taken to BrainPOP Jr. or BrainPOP.

After taking our Kahoot quiz during Virtual Lesson, I think it would be a good idea for all students to have a refresher in music notation. Some of this may be new and some may be a review. Everyone learns to read music at a different pace and everyone has different experiences in their music classes. That is okay! Use BrainPOP to help increase your knowledge! There are plenty of activities and other videos for you to view :)

I also put the button for the BrainPOP link if you would like to view that one if you already are feeling confident with reading music.
