We have dropped into 2nd place. Please keep collecting those Box Tops! The winning class gets a pizza party at the end of the school year.
Also, when addressing the valentines, simply label them to "friend". The kiddos will still be delivering them, but they will be able to deliver them more efficiently instead of matching each card to each box.
Thank you for pitching in and visiting www.signupgenius.com to see what supplies we will be needing. We would like them to arrive before the 10th, so we can make any last minute trips to the grocery store.
Parents are welcome to attend too! It is February 12th from 12:20-1:30. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Kroger Community Card
During the first semester, we earned over $300.00 and we only had 63 households connected to L.A. Nelson. Do you have your Kroger card connected to Nelson? If so, we will see this on the bottom of your receipt.
Please take time to register your card and tell your spouses and grandparents.
L.A. Nelson school code is 90039.
Six Flags Read to Succeed
Earlier in the year, I sent home some yellow Six Flags Read to Succeed Forms.
1) It is for recreational reading (above and beyond required 20 daily minutes for school).
2) Parents must initial each entry for reading and sign the bottom upon completion.
3) The total must equal up to 360 minutes (6 hours).
4) Each student that participates gets one Six Flags ticket.
The completed form must be turned in by Friday, February 24th. All students are eligible. If you need a new form, please let me know!
