Hi MMS,
We welcome incoming Assistant Principal Russell King to MMS! He will join our Tuesday Talks starting 5/19! We will continue other virtual opportunities for you to meet him until we are together again in person! Here's Russell in action at a cooking class. I can already tell he's going to have some fun with our cast of characters at MMS!

Tuesday Talks
On May 19, 2020 we will continue our 1:30pm Tuesday Talks to connect with you and share information. Zoom is preferred by staff so we'll stick with Zoom. The link is below and is also in the MMS master calendar.

*Though we don't have official language around what's permitted and what isn't, the district has advised that Hangouts and WebEx are considered more secure if you are using video conferencing with students or families.

1. Keep a routine.
2. Take of your body (nutrition and activity).
3. Stay connected (reach out to friends and loved ones.
4. Have fun/engage in a hobby.
5. Practice mindfulness (5 min of deep breathing).

SEL grant funds
We will also follow up with staff regarding their interest in the mindfulness course (from Achieve grant funding). More info to come on that.
