What's new in the LMC...

For the past few weeks, many different classes have been able to experience Breakout Edu. The concept is similar to an escape room. In the library, students are searching for clues, solving puzzles, and using team work to try to open the multiple locks on the box. Each grade has had different tasks.

3rd, 4th, and 5th grade has finally finished learning about internet safety. They did such a great job participating in discussion on how to keep themselves safe while using technology.

3rd grade is learning library skills. We are starting with the basics such as sorting books and moving into shelving. They are becoming pros at figuring out where all the books go!

5KP just completed a book tasting. We are trying to read books in a genre that we don't normally read. Ask them what new genre they are trying.

Kindergarten and 1st grade are reading a brand new book this year. After our story, we did a dance and discussed sharing.

Lastly, second grade will also be starting library skills.

Make sure to follow us on twitter to see all the fun happenings in the library!
