Principal's News
He is Risen!
This final week of term has seen us come together each day to join in the Holy Week Story. Learners and staff have led Chapel services focussed on the messages central in Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday.
In today's final service, our Resurrection focus, we shared that while exciting (and tasty), Easter isn't just about chocolate and rabbits. Easter is the time for us to celebrate that Jesus is alive.
Through the empty grave, we celebrate that Jesus is Risen and alive, and because of that, we can have new life in Him.
Term 1
What an eventful and exciting term our community has shared! Learning is about academics but also life and life skills. Throughout the term our learners have grown and developed across all areas, while sharing engaging and challenging experiences. This week we have had a number of Principals' Tours happening and every tour group has commented on the happy, engaged and energetic vibe of our learners and learning at Trinity.
ANZAC Day
On Monday 24 April we will hold a College ANZAC Day Ceremony at 9am in Sunset Hall. Parents are welcome to join us for this event. The college will also have student leaders in attendance at local RSL ANZAC Day events held around the Sunraysia District.
Cross Country
Friday, 28 April is our annual Cross Country. The event is held on College grounds and encourages maximum participation and team spirit. Information will be sent home via The Vine including the schedule for the day and other specific details. Parents are most welcome to come along and join in the cheer squad as our learners run to earn points for their House. Who will be the Cross Country Championship House in 2023?
Parent / Teacher Conferences
Parents will shortly receive information regarding our Term 2 Student led Parent / Teacher Conferences. These conferences will be held on Tuesday 2 May and Thursday 4 May from 3:30pm - 8pm.
Opportunities to join together, as parents/guardians, learners and staff, to share success, reflect on progress and set new learning goals is an invaluable role in the learning journey of every learner at Trinity. We look forward to this event next term.
May this Easter bring you the chance to celebrate and enjoy precious time with family, eat lots of chocolate and hot cross buns, and reflect on the hope that we have in Christ.
Blessings,
Mrs. Eloise Beveridge
Principal
'The Vine' - TLC App
From Term Two we will be using The Vine via the TLC School App to communicate most messages to parents. Notes, calendar dates, year level and class information will be shared via your child's pages and groups.
Now is a good time to make sure the you set the notification feature on your app to ensure you do not miss important information.
As promised, we continue to refine and make The Vine a better 'one stop shop' platform for our learners, parents and staff. Most recently, we have added several links to the App including,
- Camp Australia - After School Care
- Canteen - Flexischools
- Canteen Menu
- Uniform Shop Online
For any parents who are having issues with the app installation or access please email ppascale@tlc.vic.edu.au or call Pasqualina Pascale in the Office.

Trinity Values
During Term 1, we have been exploring the Trinity Lutheran College values:
- Acting with Honour
- Nurturing the Faith
- Growing in Knowledge
All our learners have been looking at ways to demonstrate how they can develop these values in their journey. We would like to congratulate the following learners:
- Jesse S – Acting with Honour
- Annetta S - Growing in Knowledge
- Johnathan N – Growing in Knowledge
- Elise T – Growing in Knowledge
These amazing learners have all demonstrated our values this Term. For their efforts, each learner received a free lunch voucher. Keep up the great work!
Prep – Year 2 Activities
It has been a busy, but successful Term 1 for our youngest learners at Trinity. I have been extremely proud of how our learners have gone about their journey and with this, had a go at being a risk-taker, inquirer, reflective, thinker, open-minded, or good communicator both in and outside the classroom.
From Swimming, Bible Presentation, Cross Country training, Easter Hat Parade, Classroom Activities and numerous Social Connections, the Prep – Year 2 cohort have gone above and beyond during Term 1. We cannot wait to see what Term 2 will bring!!
Reflections this Easter
Easter is a great time for reflection. Reflecting on what has worked well, what needs to change and what is still to come. After a busy start to the year, Easter comes and provides us with an opportunity to understand the role that Jesus played in allowing us to do what we do.
So, I truly hope that, at this Easter time, our community alongside your family and friends can reflect, recharge and rest. On behalf of the Primary School and all associated with Trinity, can I warmly wish you a safe and joyous Easter. We look forward to Term 2 and seeing what our learners can achieve; and let nothing hold our learners back.
With Thanks,
Mr Ryan Fowler

Year 7 & 8 Camp
What a wonderful experience was had by all. The Year 7s ventured to Victor Harbor for a ‘Beach/Sea Experience’, while the Year 8s went to the Grampians for an Outdoor Experience. The Year 7s experienced the opportunity to learn how to bodyboard, paddle board, develop lifesaving skills and kayaking. The Year 8s had the opportunity to canoe, abseil, complete low and high ropes, archery, orienteering and the ‘Leap of Faith’. Thank you to the teachers who were away on the camps supervising and organising these great experiences.
Camps are a fantastic opportunity for learners to develop new skills, push themselves to try new things (including foods) and interact with their year level in a different environment.
Year 9 & 10 IDU
While we had the Year 7 & 8s on camp the Year 9 & 10s completed their Inter Disciplinary Unit, which is a requirement of an IB curriculum.
The Year 9s looked at ‘Sustainability’ and ways we can be more sustainable in our living. From this research they constructed a model of a sustainable house using a majority of recycled materials. The Year 10s researched a ‘Bilingual Book’ which involved interviewing a learner in Year 3/4 who speaks a language other than English at home, and writing a book of interest for them. The final products in both year levels were quality and reflected the research and effort they put into this.
Year 10 Pathways Day
The Year 10s experienced a day at the College looking at their options for 2024 when they move into Year 11. Learners had the opportunity to listen and ask questions from the Secondary College, SuniTafe, NMLLEN & Apprenticeships and LaTrobe University. The day included the opportunity to start planning for the week of Work Experience scheduled for the end of Term 2. Thank you to Mrs Clisby for the organising of this day.
