Celebrate Culture Day on Thursday, May 11
We are having a cultural celebration day on Thursday, May 11. Please encourage students to wear clothing or colors that represent or support different cultures. Some of our Hmong students will be wearing traditional Hmong clothing which often incorporates bright colors. If your student would like to participate and does not have any cultural specific clothing, they can wear bright colors and black to honor the Hmong culture, or they can wear their favorite school spirit wear or school colors (blue and red) to show their Mountain Bay Mustang culture!

The 16th Annual Jay Seiler Track and Sports Day is scheduled for Friday, May 26. This event is dedicated to the memory of Jay Seiler, who was a standout athlete at D.C. Everest. He died in 1979 while practicing football at the University of Wisconsin.
All 5th graders from across the district will come together to participate in the Jay Seiler Track and Sports Day. This event will be held at the D.C. Everest Junior High School. Our fifth grade students will come to Mountain Bay in the morning for attendance and will then be bussed over to the Junior High. Fifth grade students should make sure to have sun block applied in the morning, bring a water bottle, and have a lunch packed with them. Each student will participate in two events plus the games round. The first round of events will start by 9:30 a.m. The games round is scheduled to conclude at 1:00 p.m. At the conclusion of the track day, students will then return back to Mountain Bay for our afternoon Memorial Day Program.
Memorial Day Program
Mountain Bay will be hosting a Memorial Day program to honor and remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Mountain Bay staff and students are encouraged to invite their family members that are service members to join us. We would like to invite all service members, past and present, to join us for our program so we can take this opportunity to thank them for all they have done to protect our great Nation.
Please plan for your student to wear red, white, and blue on this date.

We will use these results to recognize what is going well and to develop action plans for those areas that need improvement. A total of 130 parents/caregivers completed the survey. Below are some key takeaways from our results report.

Thank you again for collaborating with us. Your feedback helps us to reflect on what we are doing well and identify where we can strengthen practices. We will continue to use this feedback as part of our planning and efforts to always improve. If you did not complete the survey this time, we hope you will consider doing so next year as parent/guardian feedback is critical to our success. In the meantime, please don't hesitate to reach out to us with ideas, suggestions, or questions.
