Leadership Message

In this Sunday’s gospel, Jesus is inviting us to respond to challenges as he did – by loving all people. This means treating all people with respect, mercy, and generosity, including the people who we might consider our enemies. This is what we are called to do, even when it is difficult. At our core, each of us knows we are made to be loving.

I'm thankful that I get to witness the incredible love that is displayed daily by staff and students at our school.

Shrove Tuesday: Pancake Snack on Tuesday, February 21st

In preparation for the season of Lent, we will be celebrating Shrove Tuesday, February 21st with a Pancake snack served at lunch time. Eggcellent P'Eats has graciously offered to provide our Shrove Tuesday Pancake Snack!

This is a special, faith tradition for our school community and we are so grateful to Eggcellent P'Eats for the love and support they've shown our St. John XXIII family.

Remember that students will still need to pack snacks for the day, as well as anything else they might want in their lunch in addition to the pancakes.

Ash Wednesday: The Season of Lent begins

We continue to be so blessed to be able to celebrate our faith during the Liturgical year. The season of Lent begins this Wednesday, Ash Wednesday.

Father Tomasz will lead mass for school community at 12:30pm in our school gym. During our mass, staff and students will receive ashes on their forehead. Every year, the ashes for Ash Wednesday are made by burning the palm leaves from the previous year’s Palm Sunday.

You are not required to submit a new registration form if you are returning to St. John XXIII or moving to St. John Paul II next year.

Thank you families for sending your kids dressed and ready for outdoor play each day.

We are in urgent need of new socks and comfy pants (no jeans please) in all sizes (4 and up) to keep in the office.

As weather changes quickly, please send in layers. An extra pair of gloves and socks are great to have in backpacks on those wet days.

Thank you for your consideration.
