Coaching
As you know, CSISD has adopted the coaching model for teachers and the new teacher evaluation tool is geared towards coaching as well. With that being said, I wanted to start introducing some of the logic behind coaching before we begin the transition here at OW.

Veteran's Day Schedule
We will discuss this further at the Faculty Meeting on Tuesday to ensure that everyone is on the same page. As a reminder, our Ceremony will be on Tuesday, November 10th.
Required Training
All employees (Professional, Paraprofessional, clerical, or otherwise) are required to complete the Sexual Harrassment training in Eduhero. Email the Scan/PDF of the certificate to Rocco and Bohnnie Davis before 11/06/15.

Teams please use the recess time as an incentive that is taken away when students do not fulfill our expectations. I believe those held from recess should be kept in a classroom with one teacher from the team so they are supervised either doing their make-up work or writing behavioral improvement forms that explain their behavior and what they should have done. Students who are misbehaving in recess should be the first among those held from the next recess. This intervention should be used for all minor behavior incidents that reoccur. That should be documented in the referrals that come for the repeated misbehavior. I think it is as good an intervention as a detention if not better.
